In October 2016 members and the general public were invited to the Countryside Centre at Anglers Country Park to make bird boxes. For a small comtribution to the cost of the material, people were able to construct a timber bird nesting box that they could either take home or donate to The Friends group for later installation in the woods. The day was very successful with many families turning up and showing their woodworking skills. About half a dozen boxes were donated to The Friends group for locating around Haw Park Wood.
The boxes were installed during the November activity day by members of The Friends group and will hopefully provide a warm and dry home for some of our feathered friends to raise their offspring.
