June 25th 2023 Butterfly and Moth Day

once again we held a butterfly and moth day, this year it was a bit earlier, in 2022 it was in July
many thanks to Pete for trapping the moths the night before, everyone who came along were fascinated to see so many common little creatures that they had never seen before.
Sharon ran the colouring competition for the youngsters
….. and as usual there were prizes for the winners.
Les from Yorkshire Butterfly Conservation and Ricky provided the technical knowledge, and Ricky also took visitors out on two butterfly walks, thank you both.
